Ford Mustang Mach-E is divided into two versions according to battery capacity: 72kwh and 91kwh. For electric vehicles, charging at home is the most convenient.

Ford has a 240V48A home charging station, which costs $799. The price is high and the cost performance is not high.

In fact, you can also use Ruivanda home charging station, which costs only $399 for a 240V48A charging station. 220✖️48=10.5kw, which means that 10.5 kWh can be charged at full load in one hour.

Theoretically, the time from 0 to full charge for the MachE 72kwh version is 72kwh➗10.5kw=6.8h;

The time from 0 to full charge for the MachE 91kwh version is 91kwh➗10.5kw=8.6h.

Using the Ruivanda charging station, you can directly plug it into a 240V NEMA 14-50 wall socket. Because the battery is generally not completely used up before charging, the charging current can be lowered, which will be safer.

Ford had advertized free home charger with installation with a purchase or lease of new Mach E. It has been 2 months and my Mach E is sitting in my garage. The subcontractor (QMerit) has not installed the charger. Both Ford Motors and Q Merit are giving me the runaround. I even tweeted but did not get any response
